Hi, I compiled amulegui SVN of 08-31-2007 for Win32 with wxMSW 2.8.4 and connected it to amuled of the same version. Amulegui crashes as soon as I click on preferences tab. Bye!

I agree with MasterKGB, we have to rework the compilation on Windows page. I wanted to do it, but I haven't had the time to do it, sorry.

The problem is still presente (today SVN, compiled with WxMSW 2.8.6 and gcc 4.2.x).  Is it "normal" or I missed some something? Bye!

Well, this is as normal as a bug can be. Unfortunately we still don't know what's causing this.

As far as we know, yes.

There is a different problem (well, actually two) on Mac, the events page in preferences is "scrambled" and a delay in opening the preferences has been reported and on Linux/*nix there are problems with storing some data, which seem to be fixed with wx 2.8.6.

So is the idea that it is somewhat releated to wxwidgets and not to amule,?

I'm not sure. aMule 2.1.3 does indeed work with newer wx versions, but with SVN versions there seems to be a problem upon widget creation or something. (The pointer to the validator of _all_ widgets in the preferences is 0x01, which is a serious problem.)

Kry is currently busy again, but he wants to adjust the aMule sources to compile with Visual Studio, which features a superior debugger on Windows. I had no luck with (mingw) gcc 3.4 and 4.2 and gdb was unfortunately not usable.
