« on: November 08, 2007, 10:38:54 AM »

hola.
just started amule for the first time, and folloed the instuctions here. when I got to the point of adding a new sever.met url to get a list of servers, the little popup with the rabbit appeared for five seconds and then the whole thing just died and disappeared. twice.
any ideas?

Hi,

this is a bug in version 2.1.3 of aMule. Please download the serverlist manually and save it to /home/user/.aMule/ (on Linux) or update to a developmental version.

I have the same problem.  I have done everything I found except manually downloading the server.met file.  The address that is in that field when aMule starts is http://ocbmaurice.dyns.net/pl/slist.pl?download/server-best.met.  The problem is ocbmaurice.dyns.net does not exist.  The address listed in the newb help file is http://www.srv1000.com/azz/server.met which takes you to a website that tries to sell you something or other.

So where is this server.met file located on the web so I can download it manually?

And as a side question, why isnt a default server list included in the initial download?
