2.2.4 in the near future... (?)
« on: March 03, 2009, 10:39:05 PM »

Well, it's been a while since we released the last stable version of aMule. Now it's a new year, a new season, and a new release in sight. You might have got already used to our habit of always changing beta-testing strategy -- this time we didn't. You know, just to keep you surprised...

I bet you want me get to the point, so
  • if you know English and your mother language (and they're not the same), you might want to check out the translations page to see if your language has any untranslated strings (in which case you're welcome to translate them),
  • if you know how to compile programs on your box, you're welcome to grab the lastest tarball from the release branch, and test whether it compiles, runs, works for you. We're eager to hear your experiences. Should you need some help with compilation the Wiki is a good place to start looking for answers.

Last words: as usual, please post everything related to the upcoming release into the Prerelease board, which came back into life like a comet in orbit, and will go back into deep space after release with the same certitude.
