OK, would it be possible for you to upgrade to the most recent version of Mac OS X? I remember someone having problems which were resolved after upgrading. (There should be at least Leopard 10.5.5, iirc)

yes,i think too that the problem is here.. i can't upgrade, it starts but it blocks.. but i will try..
