Kernel Panic on reiserfs with amule
« on: April 09, 2009, 11:28:10 AM »

Hi.

my board is gentoo+xen on the bottom and the running system is the latest gentoo over xen.
i have dual amd 2400 mp, with a tyan tiger and 2GB ECC ram.

This is, imho, a problem related to amule - and maybe reiserfs - because:
- if i do high i/o on disk, no problem
- torrent is ok
- memtest is ok
- only with amule open i get kernel panic

this with amule 2.2.3.
i am trying right now the 2.2.4, i will let you know.

here the output of kernel panic:

LOL reiser

Now seriously, aMule can't crash your kernel. The reiserfs driver is crashing your kernel. You have to tell whoever is in charge of it now, or file a kernel bug.
