« on: August 23, 2008, 05:36:20 PM »

hi all ,

I just installed amuled and amuleweb, it seems to work but i on the web interface i can't connect to any server cause the list is empty.
in my .aMule directory i place a good server.met file so i don't get it.

looks like i missed something obvious buit i can't find out what.

thanks

Google "emule servers", click the first link and there should be three server lists for you to add. Choose one and you should be set.

Hi ,

Looks like I have the same problem ...

Symptoms:
(*) server preferences > Update server.met from URL is not working (i.e. it does not download updated server list)
(*) server list gets ereased on average every 3rd day, so if server connection fails I am out of E2DK
(*) the only way to download a full server list is via e2dk:// download (format like: ed2k://|serverlist|http://server.com/servers.php|/)

I am running updated Ubuntu 8.04 in the desktopless environment and other than that amuleweb + amuled works great

best regards
B.

Hi,

sorry... I had same behaviour:
(*) 2.2.0 - default XUbuntu 8.04 package
(*) 2.2.4 - your built. The only improvement was that e2dk:// links window started to accept ed2k://|serverlist| ... format, which was not a case earlier)

Haven't tried to upgrade to XUbuntu 9.04 yet

regards

Please dont use aMule package of Ubuntu 8.04.

Remove server.met and server_met.old files of .aMule folder and try again to download server.met in:
