what is server preference?

On the Server page > Preference.
Mostly it is 'normal' sometimes 'low' somtimes '-2'
What does it refer to please?

it helps amule to connect to servers .. if prio high amule will try to connect to those servers at first etc

Thanks. Could you tell me if the 'ping' value is from the server I am connected to or from the machine that I'm sitting in front of?
I have noticed that the 'pings' of servers change when I change servers so it looks like they come from the connected server to the other servers.

I don't really understand what you're asking xDDD
But I guess the answer you're looking for is htat the ping value comes from the server. whenever aMuel tries to connect to a server it pings it also and modifies the ping value in the servers list if the ping got an answer.
