high upload, almost no download
« on: August 24, 2004, 02:43:58 PM »

hi there!

following situation: connection to the servers are ok. i get almost evertime a high id, i also had amule up for more than 30 hours without a break. uploads are constant at the speed of 10k (i set that in the preferences).

now the 'problem': download is only starting on clients to who i upload at the same time. the result: the upload/download ratio is about 10:1.

i've got not firewall running, my system is suse 8.2 - emule 2 rc3 on a dsl-connection with 1024bit download. i already tried to change the ports without having solved the problem.

short question on the credit system: do i earn credits for uploading chunks, or do i only get them when i upload complete files?

i hope anyone can help on this, because filesharing with amule was a big point on changing my internet-provider.

thanks,
jürgen

Please upgrade to rc5 and see if it's still happening.

Anyway, seems you can only conenct to users after the connect to you first, so looks like a firewall/router/etc problem.
