Internet so slow when amule running

Hi there...

Amule is running on a SuSE 9.0 Router pretty fine except, that alle PC's connected to the router have a terrible slow internet connection.
Upload speed is set to 5 (have dsl)
Why is the overhead so heavy?
When i close amule everything is fast again.

Is it a settings or a programm problem?

what setting do you have for max connections / 5 secs??

whats your overall setting in connections? hard and max connections

8o the slot allocation does not really fit, lower taht to 3 not 30!!

and under tweaks there is a setting max conn/ 5 secs

what does taht say?

max conn/5sec is set to 20

my router does not like such high setting aswell, lower it to 10 and retry,
the other setting except slot allocation seam fine to me
