lowID
« on: July 06, 2005, 10:28:12 AM »

I installed amule from livna.org using yum install amule  but i keep getting lowid.

http://www.amule.org/testport.php says that test is successful and amule should work with no problems.

I used to get high ID in emule-windows. I know my router forwards the port.I also stop the firestarter firewall to check whether this is a firewall issue but no

When I launch amule is says port 4062 is not available...

what else should I check?

Has your Linux PC the same IP address as windows had? Please double-check the port forwarding settings in your router. Another idea would be to change to another port since some ISPs block traffic on specific ports...

I checked the port forwading settings of my DSL Modem's Router via its web-based console.I did not change any setting so everyhing is same as windows.
The same applies to ISP comment. When book windows I get high ID from emule.
