Are kad keyword searches implemented yet?
« on: October 03, 2005, 11:12:57 PM »

Are kad keyword searches implemented in  cvs-20051002?  I never get any results.  I'm trying words that should have thousands of matches.

Yes they are and I get results. Is your kad firewalled?

Nope.  This is what was/is in my 'Kad Info' tab:

Kademila Status: Running
Status: Connected
Connection State: OK
Average Users: 2.88M
Average Files: 1.33G

My regular server connection was high-id as well.

Update:
I just tried a kad search and got plenty of results.  I'll have to experiment further to find out what was preventing kad searches from working.  I have two ideas:

#1 aMule was running only a few minutes when kad searches failed.  When they worked aMule had been running for 12+ hours.   Maybe it takes a long time to integrate into the kad network desipte what the info in the 'Kad Info' tab says???

#2 I had never choosen the 'extended parameters' option when running a kad search.  When my kad search worked this time, I had enabled 'extended parameters' and specified a 'File Type' as well.  Kad searches continue to work when 'Extended Paramaters' are disabled.  I'll have to wait until I restart aMule to see if this was a one-shot type problem.
