Connection to a server ?
« on: December 19, 2005, 07:37:39 PM »

Hi all,

Sorry if my question has been asked a billion times before, especially since it sounds to me like a true BEGINNER question, but I'm new to aMule, and to Macs, so I'm really struggling here...

Here is my problem :

I installed aMule on Mac OSX, and followed the instructions about what I should put in the configuration panel... So, apparently, I should be ready to use the software...

Unfortunetaly, I get an error message when searching for files : "you are not connected to a server".

What does this mean ?
And what should I do about it ?

I read previous threads about server connections, but it talks about weird stuff like "Ubuntu" and "server downloads"... and I just don't understand anything... I'm foreign and not a computer experts, so it all sounds like chinese to me.

Can anyone help me and tell me what to do ?

Thanks very much in advance to whoever can help me !

baab.

In its default setup, Windows XP on the Internet amounts to a car
parked in a bad part of town, with the doors unlocked, the key in
the ignition and a Post-It note on the dashboard saying, "Please
don't steal this."
