Hi,
I started using aMule (migrated from mldonkey) some days ago ... and let me tell you I'm very satisfied with it in general. Beside that I've to mention some things that attracted my attention during setup and configuration of aMule ...
1. I'm using amuled on a sarge box without any graphical ui. So before starting install I'd to read a lot of the documentation on the wiki. I found out how to setup amuled, that there are deb-packages, that exists a webserver amuleweb, etc. After installing from deb-packages also found out that amuleweb seems to be integrated with amuled (hope I'm right with that) nowadays. Reading many messages in the forum later also showed me that there are delivered more temlates than the default (which is width respect ... shocking and unusable). As in this examples I found a lot obviosly outdated information on the wiki.
I know aMule is a community project, but is there someone overviewing the documentation from time to time? The current docs make things not easier for beginners that use setups beside standard install, I think.
2. I've problems setting all options right, because I'm not using a graphical ui. The options in the config file seems not to be documented ... I guessed what most of them are, but that's no substituion.
Regards
Neko
