aMule is yet to download anything
« on: April 11, 2006, 07:35:30 PM »

Okay - I got aMule a while back, picked a server (I'm on BiG BanG 11) and chose some files to download. It says Kad is firewalled but it also says that it's ed2k is connected to the server, but nothing is downloading. I've tried loads of different types of files, I've tried the most popular files with the most hosts, I've pretty much tried everything short of posting on the forum for help (and here I am). I'm on Mac OS X and I'm not sure where to start with this problem - it could be a port forwarding thing but the documentation isn't crystal clear on which ports need forwarding, and I've forwarded the ones which I have chosen in the preferences. Please help

Thanks

Thanks

But I connected to Donkeyserver No5 and there's still nothing downloading. I've noticed that the pings are all huge too - between 5 and 45 mins

Also, I've recieved Low-ID even though I've forwarded all the ports on that page you linked me to

Here's my port forwarding quick reply:
Quote
You need to forward the ports amule uses in your router. For this, have a look at http://portforward.com/routers.htm.
aMule uses three ports (see Preferences->Connection) that need to be forwarded:
- a client TCP port
- a client UDP port (this is the above port +3)
- and an eMule extended UDP port

You can use the connection tester to test whether the client TCP port is forwarded properly.

Good luck. :)

Btw, are you getting sources for your files?
