Status bar keeps wobbling

I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem (couldn't find anything about it here), but it's been annoying me ever since I started using aMule. The thing is, in the status bar at the bottom of the screen, there is a field that shows the number of users and files on the ED2K and Kad networks. These numbers are (obviously) changing all the time. The annoying thing is that sometimes these numbers fit on one line, and other times the numbers are bigger and need two lines. This means that the pieces of aMule's interface directly above it are being shifted up and down all the time! It's driving me mad, is there anything I can do about it?

I'm using 1024x768, and Ubuntu's default GNOME desktop. I've tried adding or removing items from the status bar, but that doesn't seem to be possible. Hope anyone can help  :)

Welcome Leapy Lizard! (is this the codename for Ubuntu 7.04 ? ;) )

I've had this problem as well and some others too. I don't know exactly what causes it and none of the programmers ever said a word about it. (No offense, it's probably not their fault, but wx')
I do even use 1400x1050 and I have more than enough free space on the status bar.

So it's happening on higher resolutions as well? That's weird, I thought it was a quirk that happened only on 1024x768 (who's still using that today anyway ;))

I also have the problem with the "Show file details" dialog. It looks normal for a few seconds, then the first item's name is changed from "Full" to "Full name" which takes two lines, and screws up the layout of the dialog box. Weid and annoying indeed  :(
