albucin, I've deleted your post from this thread. Please don't try to hijack existing threads. That does not get your question answered faster, it only makes things more confusing for everyone. :)

Concerning your problem, have you just started using aMule (btw. which version are you running?) or have you been running aMule for a while and this problem just appeared recently? Also, did you only experience this once or have you already experienced multiple kernel panics?

Mac OS actually keeps a log for kernel panics. It is called "panic.log" and you can find it in "/Library/Logs/". If you could post that here, maybe we can get a better idea of what went wrong.

Lionell, I had been running aMule for a long time. One month ago I moved to France: ?i'm now connected with an ADSL and so I've been doing all the stuff with the router.

I sent you the whole "pani.log", cause I don't know exactly how to mannage with it.

I also found here (http://forums.macrumors.com/archive/index.php/t-231871.html) something interesting, but at the same time really bad for me! By the way one month ago I had the same problem with my mic, but by now for me the problem occours only when I try to run aMule.

Thanks for the attention.

Thanks, albourcin. Now we only need someone competent enough to figure out what the problem is. Anyone seen ken around lately? ;)

albourcin,

I'm sorry that you're experiencing these kernel panics.

Unfortunately, there's not much that we can do.  It should not be possible for aMule (or any application) to cause a kernel panic.  It's the job of the OS to prevent exactly that.  Kernel panics are due to one of the following:

  • Hardware failures.  If you recently installed additional RAM, this is a likely culprit.  Otherwise, make sure all hardware is installed and connected properly.  Try removing any after market hardware add-ons (like a PCI card) that you may have added.
  • Buggy third-party drivers or kernel extensions.  Some third-party software installs kernel extensions.  This software is mucking about in the internals of the OS, and if it has a bug can cause kernel panics.  Try removing or disabling any such extensions that may be installed.
  • Bugs in Mac OS X itself.  As I said, it's the job of the OS to prevent programs like aMule from bringing down the whole machine.  If this is happening, it's not the fault of aMule but of bugs in the OS itself.  These can only be addressed by Apple.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.  I hope you get this fixed.
