My aMule doesn't share my files .....
« on: May 12, 2007, 08:23:12 AM »

In a mini-itx mobo (VIA EPIA M9000) I've installed Xubuntu 7.04 and aMule 2.1.3.
TCP/UDP are opened correctly in my router.
aMule seems to work very fine:  ED2K has HighID, KAD is ok, searches and downloading work without problem.

I want share 2 files made by me (2 small graphics art video). I've put them in .aMule/Incoming (with correct permisssion), I've refreshed aMule "Shared files" window: aMule does the hashing and after a while I see my 2 files listed in "Shared files". All seems ok but I've just discovered a big problem.

1) files are found only if an external user does a "KAD" search. If he does a "Local" or "Global" search, files are not seen (also if we are connected to the same ed2k server or different server).

2a) the external user see files with 0 (zero) sources. If someone try to download it, the download bar is red without sources available.
2b) If I open my "Shared files" windows, I see "Obtained parts" bar in red and "Completed Sources" 0 (zero). I should see "1": files are completed and are in my directory...

3) If I download a file (I've tried with Ubuntu-7.04-dvd.iso), this files is shared correctly and many people download from me without any problem.

Original eMule 0.47c for Windows works without any problem and share my 2 files correctly: searching and external source downloading work fine.

Why I cannot share my files with aMule 2.1.3 ? Any idea ?

Thanks.
