Missing sources
« on: November 07, 2007, 05:22:33 PM »

Hi all,

I have a new mac with dual boot (Xp and Leopard). In one I have the emule and in the other the amule, bot with the same configuration files. I have connected both to the same server, but with the emule i find around 60 fonts, and amule is only able to find one or two.... This happens to all the files, avoiding amule to downolad files that are easily dowloanded with emule....
Any idea what could be the problem?

Thnx

I have installed the aMule in the XP (having the exact configuration in emule and amule) and seems that there is also a big difference on the number of sources that each one founds. Is this low number of sources normal? I'm sure that this should be an amule configuration problem, but i do not know where to look to fix it :-(

Are connected to the same server? Are you doing local, global or kad-searches. Are you patient? How did you get amule to use the emule-config?

Hi!

Hehehe... yeah, I'm patient but I'm also curious to find out where the problem is coming from... :-P
To have the same configuration I first copied all my configuration files of my emule to my amule following the instructions of a previous message, http://matrixhasu.altervista.org/index.php?view=amule_config.
Then I opened the options of the two programs and I configured the same options that are available for both. And finally I've downloaded the http://www.gruk.org/server.met file and I've connected both (not simultaneosly) to the first razorback server.
I performed the search global, but I tried other options and the result seems the same (even using Kad).

Best,
Tanis
