When you say cap the Uploads to 80% how do i do that?

hi,

in the aMule wiki it says:
Example:
Maximum Downstream: 1024kb/s ÷ 8 = 128 kB/s
Maximum Upstream: 512kb/s ÷ 8 = 64 kB/s

where did the 512kb/s come from....how do you tell ?

OK i went to a web site to test my connections...this is what i got:

Download Connection is:: 3003 Kbps about 3 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB)
Download Speed is:: 367 kB/s
Upload Connection is:: 10789 Kbps about 10.8 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB)
Upload Speed is:: 1317 kB/s
Tested From:: http://testmy.net (Main)
Test Time:: 2007/12/24 - 6:01am

so cap the Upload to 8Mbps ???

Or just leave it all alone??

Ahhhh..

It's 80% of : Upload Speed is:: 1317 kB/s = 1053 kB/s

*NOT* : Upload Connection is:: 10789 Kbps about 10.8 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB)

actually i might leave the default setting *unlimited* as i was averaging 2Mbps Upload and 300KB/s Down...i think theres plenty of room before i should have to fiddle with these settings,,,
