self-assigning udp port
« on: January 26, 2009, 04:50:01 PM »

hello all,
i've been playing with the udp and tcp ports trying to get things all running properly (after a switch to a wireless network), and amule continues to give itself a random udp port. most of the time the new udp will be very high, but i've seen a couple of low ones, too. i've been keeping the tcp port open at 4662, but the udp jumps around, and i've not been able to get a high id or kad to become unfirewalled...

is there a way to stop this?

things were fine until a power outage, and its all in the air again after start-up...
thanks...

The UDP only changes if it collides with the other UDP.

there's another udp? i've been trying a couple of numbers, and all seem to bounce to a random high number once i've restarted amule.

modified: how do i check on mac osx 10.5.6 for which program would be using what udp?
