Connection lost - everytime
« on: August 31, 2009, 10:39:16 PM »

I am using Leopard on a Mac.

I hadn't used aMule in a while and went to use it but it would not connect.  Everytime a connection was attempted the log would report connection lost.

So I downloaded 2.2.5  Same thing.  Checked my 4662 port, it is open.  Read a few things then went to my firewall and deleted the old version and added the new one.  Downloaded a current ipfilter.dat list and loaded it.  Turned off protocol obfuscation.

Nothing has worked.

It just works it's way through the list of servers then starts again.

What am I doing wrong or what else should I do/check?

First, get a new list of servers. Or just use Kad only.

How does one just use KAD?

I thought I did download a list of servers (nipfilter.dat), or was that something else?  Where do i get a current list?

Thanks

Preferences >> Connection >> Networks[  [   ] eD2k  [ x ] Kad ]

That's for filtering bad IPs and known bad guys.

Where do i get a current list?
For example, search the net for "server.met"

Muchas gracias

It finally connected after many iterations of lost connections.  I did wonder why that list I was using was labeled 'filter' - duh!
