Can you use symlinks to share files?
« on: December 10, 2009, 12:18:35 AM »

For some reason I can't add files through the normal sharing selection in amule. However if I place the files in the Imcoming folder, and refresh I can share them this way.

I don't wan to move all my files into this folder either so I placed symlinks to them in the Incoming folder, I refreshed and it says all is good..I just want some assurance I guess that it is actually doable.

Anything?

amule doesn't do anything to distinguish between symlinks and files, so no difference is expected (given that permissions are set correctly)

I don't think I understand this. What do you mean by "normal sharing selection"?
