Amule web problem (with PICTURES)
« on: March 13, 2010, 03:26:40 AM »

Hi I have read posts here about amule web problems but didnt find an answer to my problem. I simply cannot connect to amule web from a window 7 pc on the same network. I am attaching a picture with my settings. I have transmission also running on this machine and the web interface works beautifully, yet I am not sure why amule web dosnt response at all.

Do you have amuleweb installed? It's inside the amule-daemon package on Ubuntu, iirc.

OK, let's test it:

Please open a terminal and type "which amuleweb". It will either give you the path to amuleweb or tell you there's "No amuleweb in (...)"

In the latter case, please open the Synaptic package manager and make sure the amule-daemon package is installed. In the first case, please check aMule's log file in the hidden directory ".aMule" in your home directory for any error messages and tell us what it says.

Thanks for the reply I tried u r command and their was no reply. I checked my package manger and found out that the daemon was not installed. I then installed it and repeated the command and it gave me the path to the file, but I still dont seem to be able to connect to the webserver.

Ok stupid mistake. For some reason after installing the dameon I inputed the wrong ip address but now everything is set and it works perfectly. So the moral of the problem is check to see if the DAEMON is installed.

thaks for everybody's help.
