Memory-Problem
« on: May 09, 2004, 12:41:42 AM »

Hi, am using 512MB Ram, Suse 9.0 and
 Which libraries should aMule use?
                                       wxWidgets          2.4.2
                                       GTK                1.2.10

When i boot my system my Memory is used 50%, when i work some time it gets to 60%.
When i start amule it goes up to 95% and stays there, even if i close amule.
As soon as amule is started all other programms keep consuming more and more memory, kdeinit/X/kmail/knode all start to use much more memory than normal.

So my system gets very slow, and i only can reboot to get back to normal. It happens everytime when i start amule, no matter if its 1.2.6 or 2.0rc3, so maybe it has to do something with gtk or wxwidgets, but what can i do?

Thx for any hints or ideas,

"so maybe it has to do something with gtk or wxwidgets"
Maybe you just have a bad system configuration, or maybe you didn't follow the howto, or maybe...
No other alike known SuSE 9.0 problem around, so it _most surely_ isn't an aMule prob.
Greetings.
