amulecmd problems

I'm running gentoo linux, and I've all packages up 2 date and I didn't change any of the configuration files from the default instalation.
The only thing I tryed to change was amule using diferent options for configure I need amulecmd working.
I've configured amule with:

./configure --prefix=/usr --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share --sysc
When I try to run amulecmd from shell I got this:

.aMule @ gandalf $ > amulecmd

Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
And when I try it from the X server:
Quote
to @ gandalf $ > amulecmd

This is amulecmd (TextClient)

Creating client...
Now, doing connection....
Using host localhost port 4712
Connection Failed. Unable to connect to the specified host

First I really must use it from shell if I could use X I just access the client itself. Any explanation for this? Do I need to change anything on my .eMule file?

Is probably due to a bad configuration of your EC connection or amulecmd command parameters.

Aso fo the

message... it shouldn't be shown. Maybe you compiled with wxGTK instead of wxBase? No idea really.. Btw, which aMule versions is that?

This is amule 2.0.0-rc3
Problably that connection lots was my fault, I saw that I've changed the default port, put it back on 4712.
This is what I get after running my config:

No problems on configure (at least that I can think of)
Changeing the default port sometimes gives problems, true.
if it worls on 4712 just stick to it ;-)
