Where is .eMule conf file
« on: July 11, 2004, 09:10:03 PM »

Hi. I'm new to aMule. I put in my preferences two options: Hide on start and hide as tray icon (or something like that).
The problem is when I start aMule it dissappears! Maybe it's a bug or me being stupid but I can't figure where the aMule minimizes.
I searched and there was post about the same problem and it was resolved by editing .eMule.

So where is the file or has it been replaced with another file?
If there is another way around my problem, I'd also like to hear.

My aMule version is: aMule 2.0.0rc3.

Thank you in advance.

The .eMule file is located in your home directory. But you can't see it by default as every file/directory starting with a dot is hidden. You can see it by typing 'ls -a' (without the ') in your homedir and in Konqueror you can see it by view menu/show hidden files.

Thank you. I replaced StartupMinimized value from 1 to 0. and we're back in business.

Now that youcan start aMule, gointo Preferences -> General -> Systra integratoin and select your type of systray. Select it right or you'll experience the same prob ;) Or just slecect no systray integfration if none suits you.
Greetings!
