thanks, i already have gtk 2.6.1 and wxgtk 2.4.2 so i only downloaded the latest cvs and compiled it, everything went smooth but when i typing amule in the terminal nothing happens. am i missing something?

uh oh ah... plz never use wxgtk 2.4.2 linked against gtk2!! -> memleaks, crashes, high cpu usage and other strange behaviour....

the best thing would be to uninstall your wxgtk + wxbase and compile everything from scratch like in the howto

you try that as root? or as user?

check if it is in
/usr/local/bin/

and type ls, to see if amule is there or not...
if it is there and you are root, thats normal, if its not there you maybe forgot make install?? or setup a different prefix in confiigure

i checked and it is there, and if i type

./amule it will work, as root or as normal user. i guess that the best way is to make an link to /usr/local/bin/amule.
