What's the Filter Level?
« on: July 02, 2005, 07:00:55 PM »

What's the purpose of the "filter level" option? How does it interact with a ipfilter.dat?

psmmr,

Each IP range in ipfilter.dat has a level associated. If the level is below the FilterLevel, the IP is filtered. The default level is 127.

You can use in many ways, for example you can do a cron job with amulecmd to change the FilterLevel, so that you can only connect to certain IP ranges in certain hours. In Portugal, e.g., this feature is very usefull, because their brain damaged ISP's charge them for access outside their country ?(

Cheers!
