Preview part file with vlc
« on: June 30, 2005, 01:07:05 PM »

Hi all, how can I preview video file that I download using vlc streaming and .part file?
On windows libaccess_partfile_plugin.dll can do that.
I've found the source of this plugin but I don't hot to compile it. And I don't know if it's possible.
Anyone can help me?

you simple dont need it...

just setup vlc as player and everything will work fine...

or use xine or whatever player you want :)

I know what it is...and like I said under linux you dont need a plugin

best player to use would be mplayer since it cuts out the blanks spots right away, with xine or example just fast forward over the black parts. but it works nevertheless

nope, you cannot preview somethig you never downloaded

this does not work with e or a Mule

BUT
you can preview a file,
for example if you have a 700mb avi file, and have ALREADY downloaded 300mb (for example) you can preview THOSE 300mb which are already done
