well maybe the server is down....
just google for a server.met,
shut down amule
and copy teh server.met over the old server.met in your .aMule dir
also in aMule-prefs there is an option to receive current server from clients you are connected to, and also on every reconnect to another server.
so basically once you have one server, and have activated taht option, its not necessary to ever dl a serer.met again btw
