amuled+amulegui in official release
« on: June 05, 2005, 06:17:26 PM »

Hello,

When the aMule Daemon and aMule GUI will be officially released...

I had tryed CVS  version the idea great but had some issues with stability thus rolled back to 2.0.1. The official unstable debian repository includes only tools like amule and amulecmd but no amuled.

When it will be available officially?

Thanks

amuled is supposed to be (quite) stable, the remote gui is still somewhat in it's childhood, able to crawl but not to stand up on its own.

The problem is our packagers here and what they decide to put in their suse/mandriva/debian/whatever package...

In official reps you can only find wx-2.4. With this you can't build the deamon. I've heard my pkg's have problems with the deamon, too. But maybe it works if you use the source rep.

and please build everything against wx-2.6 its much better tehn any 2.5 wx-libs!!
if you cant find wx-2.6 compile it yourself at someplace on your system read
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Using_another_wxinstall

to find out how it works
