So the port is not properly forwarded, or you have a firewall.

there's no other option

Hmm this is very strange... I opened __all__ ports for testing and it didn't help. I can't be any config option? Any tips that it could be a server issue? I mean my linux server.  Shall I try another port?

Anyone interested in testing if port 2000 is open on 212.41.80.111?

Thanks

Ok I know that this has nothing to do with amule any longer.

But when I open/forward a port nmap says it's filtered and not open like other ports as 80 or ssh ports.

Why this? Does my router just suck or what's going on? Anyone has an idea?

I opened a port 49000 and this changes to filtered but not to opened...

OK, first of all needs your PC a static IP.
Then log in to your router config menu, select NAT and chose SUA only. Edit the details and forward the ports 4662, 4665, 4672 and 4711 to this IP. (The first three are used by aMule, you should have a LowID at the moment.)
An example: 4662 | 4662 | 192.168.1.2 (assumed that this is your local IP)

I know about that stuff and have forwarded the ports. Why do I need all that ports?

Could the problem be that I have forwarded too much ports? I mean I am using all fields....

http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Get_HighID
And as you most probably know is 4711 needed for amuleweb-access.

Don't get me wrong, but there ought to be a problem we want to solve, thus I have to ask you again:
Do you have a static IP?
Is this the one you forwarded the ports to?
Is there a router firewall which may block ports?

No problem about the question and thanks a lot for your help. There is no firewall at all, only some securtiy options that I allowed. (ping, ftp...) And I have static IP's on my network. And of course the port is forwarded to the correct IP. Because web, ftp and ssh works without problems. I even changed the ssh port to another and it works.

You could be right, but the strange thing is that the firmware from the manufactors page is older than the one I upgraded "some" time ago...
