wxWidgets 3.0.5 does not support macOS Dark Mode. You have to "force" light mode for aMule (as shown in previous posts):

defaults write org.amule.aMule NSRequiresAquaSystemAppearance -bool yes

Thank you, it fixes it.

I'm now facing a problem with uPnP. The option is grayed out.
You said it is disabled for security reasons.

Why is that?
Could we manually enable it?
In amule.conf it is enabled, but still, grayed out in the app.

The library it is not linked in the binary, so there is nothing that can be manually done.

For those be troubled by low-id because of lack upnp feature, you may setup upnp by yourselves. Just open terminal window to run:

port install miniupnpc
upnpc -r 4321 UDP 8765 TCP # change port number or add more port-proto

If you don't have MacPorts, search and install it firstly.

Buongiorno, volevo aggiornare la lista server su amule per mac , ma da quando l'ho fatto non mi segna più i numero dei file sui server e non si connette a nessun server.
Spero di poter ricevere delucidazioni in merito .

"Spontanheilung".
It works with the offiziell Version from the Repo and i dont know why.
No packages where installed or deinstalled since crash and dont crash.

After svn amule crashed permanently i installed the offiziel Amule from the Ubuntu Repository.
Crashed too.

Intente cambiar el número de conexiones máximas:

CONEXION:
- Número de fuentes descargando un archivo: 500 (antes 300)
- Número máximo de conexiones simultáneas: 1000 (antes 500)

AVANZADO:
- Número máximo de conexiones cada 5 segundos: 100 (antes 20)

Compruebe sobre la marcha en ESTADISTICAS que "Alcanzado número máximo de conexiones=nunca" de lo contrario aumente los valores anteriores con moderación siempre y cuando no bloquee el router.

Esta es la mejor que he hallado al problema y funciona mucho mejor. En mi opinión los parámetros por defecto están desfasados con las conexiones y velocidades actuales.

recently, i noticed that it crashes randomly and repeatedly (expecially when downloading many files at a time)

The reason is that aMule is using the standard TCP/IP stack of the OS and Apple hasn’t implemented the complement of the protocol in the TCP/IP stack.

Is aMule safe to use?

Yes, it is completely safe to use aMule, as long as you get it from an official site.
