aMuleGUI by external network
« on: June 11, 2006, 06:38:44 PM »

Hi !

First, excuse me for my bad english but i'm french  :P

I have amuled which run on debian sarge.

I use amulegui in my local network to control amuled. It works perfectly.

But i want to be able to control amuled by internet.

When i try, i have this error on my amuled server :

Quote
CECSocket error : Invalid socket (uninitialized)

So the request arrived on my server but it seems to be not good .

What have I to do ??? It's strange because int local network, it's works good !!

Thanks a lot !

Hi djfrancky!

Do you have a router or a firewall? How do you try to access amuled?

Opening the port is not sufficent, you have to forward the port to your amuled-pc as well.
(You need a static IP for your amuled-pc)

Do you use dyndns to get your external IP?

I forward the port to my amuled-PC. In fact, the amule-pc show an error, when i try to connect amulegui from an external network (cf my first post).

I don't understand at all  :(

Thx
