Debian Lenny 5.0 aMule Bug (unexpacted closing of aMule)
« on: February 27, 2010, 06:21:04 PM »

Hello,

I have found a Bug of aMule on Debian Lenny 5.0 with KDE 3.5. aMule closes unexpacted you never know when it will close. I started it with a Terminal to see what happens when it close:

 Current version is: aMule 2.2.1 using wxGTK2 v2.8.7
Running on: Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64 x86_64

[2] wxString::~wxString() in amule [0x449ea5]
[3] wxFatalSignalHandler in /usr/lib/libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0[0x7fd21864179c]
[4] ?? in /lib/libpthread.so.0 [0x7fd219d0ba80]
[5] ?? in [0x3bebfb0]

I must say that I have installed it from the Repositories. What could I do that it work normal?

Best REGARDS

P.S. Sorry for the bad english.

First you could remove the poll. Or add "nothing" as option.

Then you could at least install the -dbg packages and maybe you can create a good backtrace.

After you posted the backtrace, you will be asked to get a newer version, either from the repos mentioned in the corresponding forums-section, or by self-compile. So you can skip the last stepcompletely.
