Can't open window any more... (2rc7)
« on: November 03, 2004, 10:44:02 PM »

It's happening right now... aMule 2rc7 (from RPM for SuSE 8.2) is refusing to re-open its window.

I've minimized aMule's window a few hours ago. Now, single or double click on the icon in the systray (kicker in KDE 3.2.2), through the entry of the pop-up menu... Nothing works any more, except aMule itself apparently. The speed keeps on varying, I can monitor the activity in aMule's temp folder but I can't open the window any more.

The only thing I haven't tested yet is to quit aMule thanks to the pop-up menu. It's working so fast for the moment that I prefer not to see that I've found a bug.  :]

Is there something I could do with amuleweb or amulecmd? (I've absolutely no idea what they're used to.) For the moment, I just intend to let aMule finish its work and kill it.

Any better idea?  8)

Better luck... next time!

Sorry but to launch aMule a second time didn't work. No change and AFAIK it refused to run twice on the same machine.

Any way, the "Quit" entry from the pop-up menu worked... just 95 KB before the end of the last download.  ;(  Better luck next time, I hope!

The question remains: Is that a "feature" of aMule 2rc7 or did a "cosmic ray" go through the wrong part of my computer?  ;)

I had this very same problem when using the blackbox window manager. Running amule again will just throw an error telling it's already running.

Regards.

Hi,

exactly the same here (and i've tried to run a second amule too : didn't worked).

Using Debian sid, fluxbox and my own compilation of aMule 2.0.0rc7

I think what we can call maybe the "core" was running fine (i was monitoring with gkrellm).

Regards
