amuleweb display errors & more...
« on: July 08, 2005, 06:37:42 AM »

Hello aMule-Team,

after grabbing yesterday a cvs-release i noticed some errors in the webinterface:

1. Some images are not displayed. I tried the default and the chicane skin but happens on both, except different images dont appear. Checked even if the images exist in their webserver folder, and yes they do.

2. Upload speed is not summed up correctly. Think this was already posted, so just mentioned for completeness.

3. Although download limit is 27 sometimes amuled seems to go far beyond. I think this is not an amuleweb issue but because i use only amuled and the webinterface i cannot proof if this error occures there too.

4. Sorting order is not stored correctly. Clicking to sort ascending, regardless of the selected attribute, and then refreshing works fine. But when descending order was selected previously, refreshing turns all back to ascending.

The image attached shows issues 1, 2 and 3:

I also want to tell you guys you sure do a great job with this very nice piece of software. Thank you for all your work!

Greetings,
Chris

Right now I can only answer on merits for #2:
Upload speed is summed up correctly, you can see that it only displays whole numbers, but rates are rarely whole numbers, so they are rounded to the nearest integer value. The picture above might very well be something like 4.3 (~4) + 4.4 (~4) = 8.7 (~9).

For #1, I have never experienced this behaviour.

The other two must be checked and fixed.

Anyway, thanks for pointing out these things (bugs).

Same thing on CVS 20050711. Same pictures are missing and login page picture is really messed. When configurin this CVS (on FC3) i had error something about libpng, so i reinstalled libpng and do configure and compile again, this time without any error, but pics are still missing and login is messed.

Missing/messed images fixed. They'll be in the next tarball.

Not all. The login-screen still has the same display errors like in xalexas screenshots. But the other images are now shown correctly.

Using CVS 20050713

I just checked the CVS tarball 20050713, and the images are OK in it.

Hi GonoszTopi,

you are right. The logo.jpg was cached by my browser. After a forced refresh now all images show up correctly.

Greetings,
Chris
