Download files "stopped"

I don't know if this is a bug or an unknown feature. I am not a specialist, so you guys will have to judge it.

I was away the whole afternoon and when I came back I noticed that all my downloading files were were stopped without my intervention and I had to resume them all manually. Could it be that this is a bug?

My brother? Then it would have been worse than a bug. He lives some 2000km away from here.

Disk space must to have been the reason.
