Still firewalled. ARRGGGGGG!!!!!
« on: April 28, 2006, 11:03:15 PM »

I know it's been asked a thousand times, but I can't figure it out, and I've been trying for days.

At first, I was going through a router, but I couldn't quite figure out the port forwarding (I'm no good at the technical stuff). Well, I thought I finally got it, but I was still firewalled and the port in the "port test" was not working.

I just unplugged my router, and I'm going straight from my computer to my cable modem. I started amule, and I'm still firewalled. However, I just tested ports and 4662 gave me the green light and said I shouldn't have any problems. 4672 did not work, though... is it supposed to give a green also?

I let amule run for awhile, and KAD went from firewalled to offline after about 20 mins. Sup with that??

I'm running a powermac G5, 10.3.9, and I have my firewall turned off in system preferences.

Any suggestions??

Edit: amule version 2.1.1

Are you using kad only?

4662 giving a green light means you are able to get a high ID, but that in the case you use servers.

4672 is *NOT* supposed to work, unless you change the default TCP port value to that.

I would advise you to change the default port values, maybe your ISP is messing with you. Change them to any number higher than 1024. For example, choose one digit and change it. Just don't change 4 to 0 :D

Cheers!
