UDP extended port always changing
« on: August 03, 2006, 01:27:52 PM »

Hello,
I just installed aMule interface and begun to configure it.
I changed the porte TCP and UDP in order to be ok with my firewall.
I restarted the application but each time I configure it, the UDP port changes.
Do you what to do ?

the extended udp port is always tcp-port + 3...

so you can cnfigure the standart
tcp-port
and udp-port

but the extended is always tcp-port + 3

and check that the 2 udp ports dont interfear with eath other...

UDP extended port always changing

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.
What I don't understand is that I can see the configuration for standard TCP-port and the UDP-extended port but not the standard UDP-port.
Where can I find it in the preferences window ?

When I force (values choosed for my D-link 604) the UDP-extended-port to the number of the standard TCP-port+3 and I restart, the UDP-extended-port change at a number I didn't choose at all. Each time I start, it is the same.
Is it correct ?

You must not select the same port for TCP and UDP.

You must ALSO not use TCP+3 for the UDP on preferences.

In short, select 2 different values on preferences taht are NOT 3-numbers away.
