Suppose that the network is not reacheable (connexion problem, ISP problem, etc.).
But you do not remark the problem and run amule and connect to Kad only using the known clients.
Some minutes later you see that you can not connect to the network and you close Amule.
Your nodes.dat file was emptied by Amule during its search...
