too many downloads make it instable
« on: May 31, 2004, 10:26:28 PM »

I have experienced the following: installed aMule - everything was fine from the first moment. Downloads, uploads, everything was working fine.

All of a sudden: aMule shuts down without warning, without any comment nor error message. Restart - works fine. Shuts down again.
Restart - shuts down again. Time between program start and shut down: approx 2 mins up to 20 mins.

I'm having a shorter download list now, and the proggy is stable again (uptime 7h now, no shutdown since). I  didn't change any settings whatsoever.

PS: I'm a long time user of some OS from Redmond, and a bit experienced with eMule on that platform. However I'm a total newbie on Linux. Installing and getting aMule running was piece of cake neverthless, this thanks to the well prepared binaries and all that stuff. A great Thank You for those involved.

Try moving ~/.aMule/ and ~/.eMule somwhere and startin aMule and see if i lasts longer. If it does, then go restoring file by file to see which one was giving problems.
Greetings!
