Cannot block popups
« on: July 23, 2004, 02:13:03 PM »

HI!

From somewhere (maybe the server, I am connected to), I get lots of popup windows, stating that without high-id, I could not create a source link.

Well, I know, that I have a low-id (firewall), but aMule 1.2.8 showed those same messages in the log, not as popups.

Wasn't there the possibility to block any messenges from anyone in 1.2.x?

How can I do this in 2.x? is this a bug?

Thanks!

Thomas

Just wanted to add: The whole notifications section in 2.0.0rc5 prefs is disabled. Why?

About that particular popup: After a search in the forum, I realized, that this comes from running amuleweb?!

Still interested, why the whole notification prefs part is disabled.

Mostly because the old notification system (from eMule) uses sounds to notify the user, yet wxWidgets has no sound support at all. Hence we would have to make use of another external library in order to provide audible notifications.
