start KAD and upload goes down
« on: November 21, 2005, 02:52:18 AM »

Hi,

After start KAD in aMule, and it's establish all conection, my upload start to goes down... from 20 to 0,3 or fewer, than start to lost connection with "mule" server!

It's happens all time! If I stop KAD network everything becames normal.

any clue about that? It's important to use Kad on the network or no, I can stay just with aMule?

And last, using Kad I can found more sourcer or not?

That's definitely strange.  I haven't seen reports of that behavior before.  Maybe it's fixed in more recent revisions. ?(

It's not important.  You can just use ed2k and everything will still work.

You may find a small number of additional sources, but probably not.  Usually, between the servers and source exchange with other clients, you'll find all of the available sources even without Kad.

The main benefit of Kad is the ability to work without the servers.  Some people choose to do that to reduce the burden on the servers.  It's also insurance against the possibility that the servers will be unavailable some day.
