I'm afraid I don't really know what's going on.

The next step in gathering diagnostic information is to get a CrashReporter log.  Launch /Applications/Utilities/Console.app.  In the toolbar, there's a button labeled "Logs" -- click it.  That will reveal a tree-view of the available log files on your computer.

Navigate through that tree to ~/Library/Logs > CrashReporter > amule.crash.log.  Press the Clear button on the toolbar.  This clears the display, which will make it easier to see what is subsequently written to the log in the following step.

Now, try to launch aMule.  It will probably crash just as it has been.  When it does, a bunch of stuff should appear in the Console window that's showing amule.crash.log.  Copy what appears and paste it to a reply.

Hopefully, that will help us figure out what's happening.

sorry for such a long post, i hope that is what you needed. the log you told me to open in Console (~/Library/Logs) was empty from the beginning, so i didn't even have to clear anythinng, and when i tried to launch amule nothing appeared written in it. so i had to use finder for that:  i've found amule.crash.log in elenalobanova/Library/Logs/Crash Reporter. but i guess it's the same anyway :rolleyes: sorry for dumbness lol

Hmm.  It's crashing when it tries to determine the system language.  What language is Mac OS X set to use?  Does aMule launch properly if you set the system language to English?

IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!! i had russian language as primary on my computer and after switching it to english and restarting the system amule launched perfectly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wish i could hug you   i would never be able to understand anything in this huge peace of text i pplaced above, lol, thanx god there are people like you who are always trying to help dummies like me

Heh.  You're very welcome!  

I love people who are profusely grateful when we offer workarounds for the egregious bugs in our own software.  

By the way, if you prefer to keep your system in Russian, you can set aMule's language to English separately in its Preferences.  Once you do that, you should be able to set your system language to whatever you like and aMule will still work.  I hope.

Anyway, I'm glad we found a way for you to get some joy from aMule.
