I can't get a high Id. Or at least I don't know how to get it. I'm running amule on a MAC OS X.
I'm connected to the internet just trough a cable, ASDL I think. I'm not using a router.
I think I may have a static IP address but I'm not sure.

My question is, can I get a high Id without a router at all ?

I've been to the Firewall setup to allow incoming information through TCP port 4662.

I'm a bit blank. Appreciate your help.

I assume you had aMule running while you did the test, right?

Did you double check that the client tcp port is indeed set to 4662 in preferences->connection? If you did and it still does not work, you could try changing the port to a random number between 2000 and 10000 (in both aMule and your firewall). Some providers block the standard 4662 port.

If it still does not work, my bet would be that your provider blocks ed2k traffic.
