wx-2.5.3 question

Does wx-2.5.3 has any important advantages over 2.5.2? If so, could you put here some advice regarding its compilation, or is it better to wait for rpms? Greets, Evil Amule Team.

yes, wxgtk 2.5.3 is better than other 2.5.x releases.. it fixes i.e broken search in amule when wxgtk was linked against gtk2..

what rpms do u need, suse or other?

and compilation.. still memleaks with gtk2, so better to use it linked against gtk1 ..

use ./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-gtk2 --with-gtk

but remove all previous wxgtk versions first

Also, socket code in wx-2.5.3 has many bug fixes.

Mandrake ones, but I meant official rpms, such as these for 2.5.2 and 2.4.2 from wxwidgets.org, so that compatibility problems won't come up when using it with other apps - e.g. there is no devel package provided on amule site.

Hi. I've compiled wxGTK-2.5.3 with:

./configure --with-gtk --enable-gtk2 --enable-unicodeand then aMule-2.0.0rc7 with:

./configure --enable-optimiseEverything works fine, maybe a bit quicker than with wx 2.5.2. Keep on the good work!

There is already wx-2.5.3 mandrake RPM provided here ! and amule rc7 rpm for mandrake is linked with it.
