problem with downloads in amule cvs
« on: July 02, 2005, 09:47:19 PM »

After downloading few files with amule..switched off amule..and after few hours switched on amule again.and in the downloading part, where i had files downloading before,i only have one left,i dont know what happened, where my downloading files gone? they werent completed yet..and i cant find them.
I changed the directory for incomplete file, changed it into "incomplete " file.was that maybe the problem? maybe was not good changing the directory for the incomplete files? can anyone help me? I would really apreciate it.Thank you!!
Where should i save the incomplete files then?where is the best to save?
The completed files i save them in "shared" files.and the incomplete ones in "incomplete " files.

i know people get very impatient when their questions are not answered right away, but asking the same questions in multiple threads is certainly not a good idea...

i had almost finished writing a reply to your problem in this thread when i realized that you had asked the exact same question at a different place (with the informative topic "I really need big time help with amule") and ken had already answered it. this is not a good use of people's time. plus, postings like these make the forum harder to read for other users (those who actually do a search before they post their problems ;)).

anyway, the bottom line is: think before you write, think while you write, and be patient... ;)

i'm glad your problems are worked out and you are now a happy member of the mac amule community... :D

for anyone having similar problems as the ones described above, ken has provided some excellent answers in this thread.
