Hi,

my dock icon changes into some kind of deformed square kinda thingy when I start aMule.

It looks like this:



Any hints on what this can be or how to resolve this problem?

You have enabled the preference setting General -> Enable Tray Icon, which doesn't work well on the Mac.  In fact, it's dangerous because aMule will crash if you access its dock menu when this is enabled.

Disable that setting and aMule's dock icon will revert to normal.
