ed2k.exe -> download?
« on: January 21, 2006, 01:35:19 PM »

BTW: There's only the choice between CVS, 2.0.0rc7 and 2.0.0rc8 as subject.

There's a thread in the spanish forum, where someone asked about the ed2k-linkhandler.

I didn't use windows for a while, so I tried to download the current package first. There's nothing. OK, I searched the forum and Berlios and found out, that there'S the link handler in the installer for aMule 2.0.0.

Is there a way to distribute this little tool with aMule or offer a separate download? Windows-users (usually) don't like compiling and finding a precompiled version is not very easy.

I don't want to annoy you, but I would really appreciate if you could compile and attach the binary.

Thanks for your effort.

Hi!

I have ed2k.exe included in the archives I produce more or less daily. Take a look here. These are CVS-Versions, though.

Do they work with aMule 2.1.0?
Imho it would be useful to have one for the stable release.

OK, that's a point!

I'll compile the whole set from the release sources and put them on FTP. It will be with wxCVS, though...

-- Edit
I had second thoughts and compiled only ed2k.exe and amulecmd.exe. Otherwise we would have different versions of amule/amulegui 2.1.0 around. That would be quite unwise, I believe.

The command line tools have been put into a zip-archive named aMule-2.1.0-Win32-cmdline.zip and can be fetched from anonymous ftp.

Please give them a try. I can't test them here, because I have only aMule-CVS working on my Debian server.
